Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has been the most live-streamed mobile game during the first half of 2024, with 229 million hours streamed in the first half of 2024 (as per the Statista report). The game was originally released in 2016, and it has been immensely popular in South East Asia. Furthermore, it continues to be the staple of the mobile gaming esports community, and the majority of its streaming hours come from esports tournaments.
The battle royale game Garena Free Fire was not far behind in the second spot, with 226M hours of stream watched during the same time frame.
The rest of the competition somewhat lagged behind the top two as PUBG Mobile, in the third spot, could only manage 136M hours of viewing on live streams. However, the Indian version of PUBG Mobile, known as Battlegrounds Mobile India, occupies the fourth spot with 97.1M hours of streams watched.
Arena of Valor, another MOBA game, occupies the fifth spot on the list with 57.4M hours watched.
In the sixth spot, Brawl Stars, developed and published by Finnish company Supercell, managed 42 Million hours of viewed streams in the first half of 2024. Next on the list is Clash Royale, also developed by Supercell, with 18.7M hours of its streams being viewed.
In the eighth spot, the mobile version of the popular shooting game Call of Duty was watched for 13.4M hours.
Survival game Identity V is second last on the list with 10.9M hours, and multiplayer shooter Standoff 2 sits tenth with 10.7M hours of live streams watched.
It is interesting to note that all games on the list have been released for quite some time, and none of the new releases have managed to make the list. The latest game to feature on the list is Battlegrounds Mobile India, released in 2021. However, technically, this game is a localised version of PUBG Mobile, released in 2018, and was released because its parent game was banned in the country.
Fans of esports, including those who prefer the convenience of no verification betting sites, have contributed significantly to the live streaming numbers of these popular games, particularly during major esports tournaments.
